Over the long history ofThe Legend of Zelda, we have seen countless fanart endeavours that depict some stunning pieces of work from the series but there are a few that always stand out from the rest. This time, we see our very ownLinklooking as buff as ever as they portray Alexandre Cabanel’s iconic ‘Fallen Angel’ painting.

Breath of the Wild’s ‘Fallen Hero’

If you happen to recongise this particular piece of art from somewhere else, Norwegian artist Malin Falch has taken inspiration from The L’Ange Dechu,or Fallen Angel painting by Alexandre Cabanel, a french artist from 1847. Cabanel was inspired by John Milton’s Paradise Lost and put their own spin on it in by showcasing Lucifer falling from heaven.

As you can see in the comparision images, Falch has minicked Cabanel’s Academic Oil on Canvas Painting by placing Link in with angel wings, a muscular body and a scorned look on his face. It’s certainly an eye catching and imposing piece that would look fantastic on anyBOTWfan’s wall.
