More is a mysterious character who communicates with the protagonist through a connected mind, but it isn’t initially clear what draws the two together.

Due to his imprisonment in Akademia,More has lost all memory of his past and needs help recovering said memoriesfrom the main character ofMetaphor: ReFantazio.

As More’s Bond Rank increases, he slowly starts to remember the past and understands who he is, as well as what his purpose is.

More’s Bond Ranks Explained

Similar to all other Bonds inMetaphor: ReFantazio, More has eight ranks to work through to reach the maximum level.Luckily, starting a Bond with More is as easy as reaching 6/5 on the calendar, since it’s automatically unlocked on that date.

More’s ranks consist of side quests that involveleveling up or studying specific Archetypes.Some examples include reaching Healer Rank 10 on one character orstudying 15 different Archetypes.The last Bond rank involves leveling up an Elite Archetype to Rank 20.

Upon completing a quest provided by More, you’ll reach a higher rank and the next side quest will automatically activate. The good news is there areno deadlines for these side quests, allowing plenty of time to complete them and reach max rank with More.

Keep in mind that there are no Royal Virtue requirements to reach higher Bond ranks with More.

Seeker Archetype: The party can now study the Seeker once unlocked in Akademia. Bright-Eyed Student: Allows the party to switch between Archetypes once unlocked in Akademia.

Checks/Requirements

Defeat the prologue boss Homeo Gorleo and rest at the campsite.

After completing the first main boss, Homeo Gorleo, of the prologue, the entire party ends up at a campsite for some well-earned rest. Interact with the campfire to teleport to Akademia, leading tothe first interaction with More.

More will explain the interesting power of Archetypes and reveal that he is the author of the book the protagonist has been reading. At this point, More will ask for a mutually beneficial alliance.

After you agree to this proposition, the Bond with More will begin and the first Rank is unlocked.

Level up the Healer Archetype to Rank 10

Immediately after starting the Bond with More, the side quest “More’s Task: Foreword and Prologue” activates. The objective here is tolevel up the Healer Archetype to Rank 10, which can be done by any character in the party.

Luckily, theHealer Archetypeunlocks automatically on 6/10by starting aBond with Maria.

The fastest way to get the Healer Archetype to Rank 10 is bykeeping it equipped while progressing through dungeons.

We also recommend using Hero items on the Healer Archetype, which grants it tons of experience.

Metaphor: ReFantazio All Elite Archetypes, Ranked

Each Archetype has its own role to play in Metaphor: ReFantazio and can be levelled to Elite tiers which unlock new skills and abilities.

More explains that the strengthened Archetype has reminded him that he conducted research on Archetypes in the past, but that was cut short by the king who trapped him in the Akademia prison.More and the protagonist agree that further studying Archetypes can change the world, leading to the next side quest.

Seeker Archetype: Adept: The party can now study the Magic Seeker

Study the Gunner Archetype

A new side quest called “More’s Task Chapter One: Ordeal” becomes available. The main objective of the quest is tostudy the Gunner Archetype, a task that sounds simple enough.

TheGunner Archetype can be unlocked any time after 6/29by completing the Providing a Spark quest. After the first tournament for the throne, Neuras will provide the Providing a Spark side quest while riding the Gauntlet Runner to Martira.

The quest involvesacquiring a Relic from Komero Village. Use the round table in the Gauntlet Runner to travel to Komero, where you cangrab the Relic and then return it to Neuras to complete the questand unlock the Gunner Archetype.

After returning to More, he shares his belief that the King trapped him in the Akademia prison because his Archetype research was getting close to a"truth the king wants buried.“Archetypes are a mighty power, More says, and the higher-ups saw this as a threat. This is, however, just More’s theory.

More needs the protagonist’s help with more research to help him escape the prison. This leads to the next side quest provided by this character.

Level the Merchant Archetype to Rank 15

Completing the"More’s Task Chapter Two: Solitude” side questwill increase More’s Rank to 4. The quest’s objective is toraise the Merchant Archetype to Rank 15.

The Merchant Archetype can be unlocked byreaching Bond Rank 1 with Brigitta, who can be found standing outside Lycaon Magic Association in Grand Trad.

Gold Beetles are an elusive bunch, but finding them all is worthwhile.

After completing the quest and returning to More, a memory comes to him. He remembers that he once was a traveler of many cities just like the protagonist. His travels led him to write the fantasy novel of the utopia everyone hopes to see one day.

Study 15 different Archetypes.

The next task to raise More’s Bond Rank is to complete “More’s Task Chapter Three: Drifting.” The objective of the quest is tostudy 15 different Archetypes.

At this point in the game, you’re most likely close to achieving this goal. It’s recommended to always interact with characters who have the Bond logo over their head (when available) to increase Ranks, rather than spending the day doing other activities. Increasing Ranks is a necessity to unlock more Archetypes.

At this point, More recalls some unpleasant memories about an old comrade who betrayed him. It is unknown at this point who More is speaking of.

Study the General Archetype

Next up is completing More’s Task Chapter Four: Turmoil, which requiresstudying the General Archetype. The General Archetype is unlocked by reaching Bond Rank 3 with Bardon.

More is even sadder than before, remembering that he used to have an entire team with him in Akademia. This memory has him confused about why none of his companions have come to save him from the prison the king placed him in.

More is even beginning to think that maybe his crew placed him in the prison, instead of the King. His story becomes more multi-faceted and intriguing, andthe protagonist must help More uncover more memories through Archetype research to understand the full picture.

Study 25 different Archetypes

More’s next task, Chapter Five: Resolve, involvesstudying 25 different Archetypes. Make sure to continue to level up Bonds with the game’s characters and unlocking 25 Archetypes shouldn’t be a problem. It may take time, but patience is key.

Yet again, another memory returns to More. He suggests that the Akademia prison may in fact actually be a classroom in the Royal Mage Academy.

A diverse bunch, each vital in their own right to take down Louis, but which one is the best of all?

More can’t help but feel that the King actually created the classroom. This feeling leads More to conclude that the King trapped him there to conduct further research. He had previously thought that the King wanted to prevent the research of Archetypes, but perhaps that’s not the case at all.

Level up an Elite Archetype to Rank 20

The final Bond Rank for More can be unlocked by leveling up an Elite Archetype to Rank 20.Since Rank 7 of More’s Bond unlocks the Soul Hacker Elite Archetype, it is recommended to focus on leveling that one.

After reaching Rank 20 with an Elite Archetype, More is ecstatic about the protagonist’s hard work. Seeing people coming together to help the protagonist on his long journey makes More believe that"the world is not lost to hope.“He sees a brighter future ahead.

Unfortunately, More doesn’t have any more information. He explains that he has arrived at a conclusion of sorts, but doesn’t want to explain it now since it may hinder the growth of the protagonist and his Archetypes. He wants his memory to return in full before he continues.

For now, he sends the protagonist on his way and wishes him well on his journey to becoming king.
