It’s been a little over three weeks sinceThe Last of Us Part IIreleased and it’s most certainly a game that just keeps on giving. Whether you’re into the mass offan artthat we’ve seen produced by countless, talented artists or you’ve been keeping an eye out for some new songs to learn onEllie’s guitar,The Last of Us Part IIwon’t dip off of the gaming radar anytime soon. Due to COVID-19, many people have found themselves at home and Mark Hoppus from alternative rock band Blink-182 is no different. Finding ways to pass the time, Mark has taken uplive streaming to Twitchas a way to stay in touch with his fans while also playing video games.

The mini-game in a certain area ofThe Last of Us Part IIallows players to interact with the DualShock 4’s touchpad for strumming while Ellie’s chords are played through button prompts on a radial wheel and even capo placement is implemented to allow for a super realistic guitar playing experience. Of course, it’s of no surprise that creative players have taken this opportunity to cover some of the world’s best guitar tunes and to share them online. Previously, Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus has played games like the originalThe Last of UsandAnimal Crossingbut this time, picking up Ellie’s guitar for the bassist is a hard thing to turn down.

As Mark strums out the chords to his 1997 song ‘Dammit’, he seems to have a bit of bother remembering the words.“Wait, how do the lyrics go?” he laughs. “What’s the next line?! Oh yeah, that’s right: ‘The season is calling, your pictures are falling down.’” A few hardcore fans in this Twitch chat were screaming out the lines to remind him. It’s ok, Mark - it’s certainly been a rough year for all of us! You can catch the video below and also have a little sing-along.

Dammitserves as the third track off Blink-182’s sophomore studio albumDude Ranchand is one of their most successful songs to date. As well as gaming on Twitch, Mark has been working on new music in lockdown, with bandmate Travis Barker recently revealing that a Blink-182 song called ‘Quarantine’ is coming.
