We all have to admit thatBlack Ops 6could do a lot better. Being able to execute sprints and slides in literally every direction was an exceptional move from Activision. Hence, it’s no surprise thatBlack Ops 6had the biggest launch in its franchise’s history. Despite these incredibly fun mechanics,Black Ops 6’s competitive mode has fans complaining about the tiny maps taking a lot of the fun away.

Black Ops 6 saw heavy praise after its launch in 2024

Launched in October 2024 by Activision,Black Ops 6saw heavy praise for a multitude of reasons. The gameplay mechanics, various game modes, and campaign saw a heavy degree of praise and even nominations for awards. While fans have thoroughly enjoyed the game, there was some criticism regarding its maps, especially with regard to the competitive mode. Fans believed Activision would address this inBlack Ops 6’s second season. However, fans of the franchise may be in for a rude awakening.

What do fans think aboutBlack Ops 6’s maps during competitive mode?

Ever since its release back in 2024,Black Ops 6has had a relatively smooth ride.Despite a few issues, the game has tested well with fans. Yet, one major problem that persists is the small maps. A large number of fans have been very vocal about this issue andentire lobbies seemingly want to avoid certain maps.

The issue here isn’t the size of the map. It’s the game’s fluidity. A number of fans seem to believe that the game’s fast-paced movement and high fluidity could make the game feel a lot smaller. This isn’t the only issue though. The game has been plagued with campers and game modes like Domination have become an absolute joke due to the relative ease with which players can move across the map.

In spite of facing criticism forBlack Ops 6’s maps, it looks like Activision isn’t fixing this in the game’s second season. While they haveconfirmed some much-needed updatesfor the second season ofBlack Ops 6, it seems fans still need to tolerate the game’s major issue with map size.

Black Ops 6 has had a relatively smooth ride since launch despite a few issues.

With therelease of the launch trailer, Activision revealed its plans for Season 2. Despite the excitement for new gear, fans have primarily expressed their disappointment for Activision’s silence when it comes toBlack Ops 6’s maps. The reveal of the map called Lifeline was met with heavy criticism from fans.

Black Ops 6fans have seemingly given up hope for bigger maps at this point. The game is the best it’s been for years yet issues like these keep it from attaining a top spot in the world of gaming. However, many fans are still holding on to the hope that there could be more to the reveal as Activision hasn’t shown the map in its entirety.
