15 Essential Black Myth Wukong Beginner Tips
Monkey see, Monkey do!
This pig is your gateway to this new area of the map, but you’ll need to find specific items and beat a handful of bosses along the way, which can easily leave even the most skilled and curious monkey confused and bewildered.
But worry no more, as we intend to guide you through this quest, and help you reach this new secret area with minimal fuss.

How To Start The Drunken Pig Quest
To begin the Drunken Pig Quest, you’ll want to explore Fright Cliff, an area of the map where you willfind a source of Buddha Eyeballs, some nifty new items, and where you will also findthe Stone Vanguard.
Near the Rockrest Flat Shrineyou will find two paths up ahead. One leads to the aforementioned Stone Vanguard and one to a vast open area where you will find the Drunken Pig lying around feeling rather sorry for himself.

He will ask the player to go and seek an item that will help sober him up, but where that item is at that moment will likely be unclear.
Getting The Sobering Stone
The item you are looking for is theSobering Stone, an item that is located in the village beyond the Crouching Tiger Temple. This means that to access this area, you will need to defeat the Tiger Vanguardbefore progressing.
After you beat them, you’re able to head down into the village beyond Windrest Bridge, and if you explore this area thoroughly, you will come across a jar with a golden shimmer.Break this jar, and inside, you will find theSobering Stone.

When you have this item, simply head back to the Drunken Pig and deliver this item, and this will trigger the next stage of the quest.
Gathering Jade Lotus
If you speak to the Drunken Pig after you deliver theSobering Stone, you will learn that he intends to look for some food at the Crouching Tiger Temple. So head to a Shrine and fast-travel over there.
Once here, you should head up the stairs toward the temple, but before you reach the area where you fought the Tiger Vanguard, head into the little nook to the right, and you will find the Pig once again. This time, you will need to give him a Jade Lotus Flowerto progress the quest.

Spend Those Sparks Wisely
These are readily available in the wild, and if you have been routinely gathering flora as you explore, you’ll likely have one of these to hand. However, if you don’t, this flower is found in bodies of water amongst lilypads.
In the unlikely event that you don’t have a Jade Lotus Flower, the quickest way to get one is to fast-travel to theCave Interior area of Black Wind Cave, then do a quick 180, and you’ll find some lilypads right behind where you spawn in.
Once you have one of these flowers, head back to the Crouching Tiger Temple and give the pig this flower. Then head back to where you first found him for the quest’s finale.
How To Defeat The Yellow Sage Squire
As you might have guessed from the sheer size of the area where you first encountered the Drunken Pig, you would always have to fight them in the end. You’ll find the Yellow Sage Squire standingbefore the large stone door on the right-hand side of the vast open area, and approaching them immediately begins this fight.
In truth, this is not a particularly tough fight that warrants a full guide, but here are some quick tips to help you if you are struggling to take them down:
Accessing The Kingdom of Sahali
After you have defeated the Yellow Sage Squire, you will then be invited to go to a secret realm alongside the Pig, and you will also receive the following rewards for defeating them in battle:
TheSnout Maskis a welcome addition to your Headgear collection, as this offers a useful effect that will increase your attack for a short period after you use your Gourd.
However, the downside is that it lowers your attack if you refrain from using your Gourd, and its defensive stats pale incomparison to the Galeguard Beast Mask.
After the dust has settled on the Yellow Sage Squire fight, you’re able to head to the stone door up ahead, and upon entering, you will be transported to chapter two’s secret area.
However, there’s still much more to do, as you’ll need to face off against the Tiger Vanguard from the past, and fight the great beetle known as Fuban.
