Helldivers 2is a social experiment from Arrowhead Game Studios, and it seems to be paying off for the most part as CEO Johan Pilestedt wishes that fans could be less toxic to fellow players and work together rather than messing with others. It is inevitable for players to be picked on in an online live service game, and harassed by other players but it is about time for it to end and focus on the bigger picture.

Johan Pilestedt can’t stress enough how appalled he is with the fact that players are not playing the game as it was intended and finding ways to have fun by messing with other players such as evicting them from the lobby which may seem funny to them but a massive headache to their victim. Friendly fire is a feature that was implemented to add a more realistic feel but it also grants trolls to instantly eliminate unsuspecting teammates.

It can be difficult to get a large group of varied personalities to think and work as a unit, but the team that made the game underwent the same experience from a development standpoint. There is a reward for winning and that is the satisfaction but doing the same with a full group of dedicated people would be four times more rewarding. End other players griefing by fighting alongside each other, and with the promise of more new free content that could potentially be bigger, worse, and tougher enemies to gun down alone, it would be nice to have a well-oiled and armed team of Helldivers ready for combat.
