Capcom has officially revealedStreet Fighter 6with a short teaser and logo - Soon after that reveal, one of the producers ofMega Man, and another producer, previously onBayonetta, announced to be working on the fighting game.
Capcom has officially revealedStreet Fighter 6,just as every fan of the series expected, as we knew it was in development. We haven’t seen anything about the game itself though, andmore details will only be coming in Summer 2022.
Soon after the teaser, two iconic Capcom veteran developers announced they’re working onStreet Fighter 6.
Yusuke Hashimoto and Kazuhiro Tsuchiya are part of the Street Fighter 6 development team
Soon after the teaser forStreet Fighter 6was revealed on February 21, Yusuke Hashimoto tweeted he is one of the designers on the game. In his Japanese tweet, he specified that he’s a planner.

Yusuke Hashimoto was one of the Capcom employees who later became one of the pillars of PlatinumGames. He most notably worked on theResident Evilseries andGod Handat Capcom. As a PlatinumGames member, he was the producer ofBayonetta 1, the director and character designer ofBayonetta 2, and the director ofStar Fox Zero. Yusuke Hashimotoleft PlatinumGames in January 2019.
Message from Kazuhiro Tsuchiya
Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, one of the producers of theMega Manseries, also announced to be working onStreet Fighter 6. However, he didn’t specify his role on the development team. (Thanks to@Protodudefor pointing it out.)
As a side note in case you’ve forgotten,Yoshinori Onoleft Capcom in Summer 2020 and is now the president of Delightwork, which just renamed itself to Lasengle. Ono is not involved withStreet Fighter 6in any way. Lasengle is the developer ofFGO, one of the most popular mobile games in Japan and a part of theNasuverse.
Many fans, myself included, are worried about whatStreet Fighter 6will turn out to be like. One thing for sure though is that it was amazing seeing everyone dunk on the reveal and logo, joining together for the memes.
