Baldur’s Gate 3’s Rarest Achievement Is Something Most Players Will Never Do
Toss a coin to your Tav.
One interesting thing you may not have noticed in your first playthrough is that you may actually find Gale’s cat, Tara, throughout the game. Depending on how you are playing, you can find her at different points. Here is a guide to finding her in each of the acts.
Baldur’s Gate 3
Tara In Act 1
Tara will only appear in Act 1 if you playGale’s Origin Story. If you do this, Tara will appear after the first Long Rest you take. After this, you can find her in your camp anytime you decide to return to it during this section of the game. When she first appears, she will seem to be worried about Gale and his pale appearance. Once he tells her the truth, she will supply him with magical items to destroy in order to keep him under control.
Tara In Act 2
During Act 2, Tara is noticeably absent. It does not matter if you are playing Gale’s Origin Story or not, she cannot be found (or at least hasn’t been found yet) during this Act.It can be surmised that this is due to the fact that she is traveling to Baldur’s Gate via a different route, because she will return in Act 3.
Tara In Act 3
Once you reach Act 3, Tara will make a reappearance (unless you didn’t play as Gale, in which case it is her first appearance).During this act, she can be found roaming different rooftops in the Lower City. When you talk to her, you may purchase some magical items from her (presumably to give to Gale). You can also find her during the quest “Find the Missing Letters,” which can be found in Rivington, the area you reach right before Baldur’s Gate.
