Baldur’s Gate 3actor Neil Newbon, who plays the quintessentialAstarion, would love to reprise the role given the chance. Although Newbon has stepped into the shoes of many characters, which include Elijah Kamski and Gavin Reed in Detroit: Become Human, Nicholai Ginovaef and Karl Heisenberg in Resident Evil, and Zeon in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it has been BG3’s sexy vampire that has taken the talented actor to new heights.

For fans who just can’t get enough of Astarion, it looks as though Newbon feels the same way, but he would also love to land his feet under the desks ofNaughty DogandSony Santa Monicastudios.

“You have to work with the players on making your game better, otherwise you shouldn’t be doing it.”

In an interview withBAFA, Newbon spoke about his love for Astarion after being asked what his future career goals are now that the dust has settled. “To be honest with you, I’d love to play Astarion again, somehow,” he said. “I would love to do that. That would be awesome. Live-action or game, I don’t care. Advert for grape juice, I don’t know, whatever.” Newbon stated that he would have played any character because he was so invested in the story, even a “Goblin holding a pint”.

Talking about who he would love to work with next, Newbon said he’s interested in any character that is well-rounded and that allows him to have fun, before stating “There are definitely people I’d love to work with. I’d love to work with Santa Monica, Insomniac, Naughty Dog and Bethesda. I love Fallout”.

I’m fairly sure there are millions of fans wanting Newbon to slip back into the leather pants of Astarion again, but as we know, Larian Studiosconfirmedthat the team behind Baldur’s Gate 3 is moving on from the title, so, if another studio does decide to pick it up again, I sure hope they inject the same magical quality Larian did.

Although it would certainly be amazing to see Newbon in an edgy, gritty, and darker role, something that Naughty Dog is famous for, so let’s watch this space.
