This will let you take any piece of armor (even metal armor), and dye it to whatever color you want. This way, you can truly make the game your own. You can even dyecompanions' armor.

How To Dye Armor
Dying armor is pretty easy in the game. First, you will need to find dye. These dyes can be found at most shops or even in containers in the overworld. (You also get a special dye depending on which version of the game you purchased.) After you have found your dye, you need to click on the dye in your inventory. Then, you will see the option to combine (this is the first option). From there, drag the piece of armor that you want to dye into the box on the popup menu. Once you have done that, you may hit combine. If it doesn’t allow you to click combine, then the item you’re using is a special item that cannot be dyed.
You will be able to tell your dying process worked if you see the piece of armor change colors in your inventory. If you want to get rid of armor dye, all you need to do is purchase Dye Remover from mostshops. Then, you will repeat the same process. After it is over, your piece will no longer be dyed.
