Fans ofStardew Valleyflocked to the cozy sim once more after its most recent1.6 updatethat included an array of much-anticipated features like festivals, new NPC dialogue, and weather events to get stuck into.
Although a far cry fromBaldur’s Gate 3for many obvious reasons, both games now share a very familiar and beloved Pale Elf that has gone down a treat with fans, as it seems being confined to Larian Studios just wasn’t enough for our beloved Astarion. Needless to say, he’s still as brutal as ever, even in modded form.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Players Continue To Debate Whether Gortash Is A “Handsome, Young Man”
It’s the conversation that refuses to end.
Well, Hello There Darling!
Modder and creatorWhisperWillowhave given Stardew Valley and Baldur’s Gate 3 fans exactly what they wanted by implementing the lovable rouge vampire as a romanceable NPC mod by replacing Elliot, a villager of Pelican Town and one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. Quite fitting.
Although Elliot’s scenes and cabin remain the same, Astarion’s mod adds brand-new dialogue and gift preferences that can only quench the taste of the high elf himself and his unique personality. For example, when he is given a present, his response is “This is for me? Truly? Well, aren’t you a treat!” and when meeting him, he says “Well hello there darling. You must be the new farmer”. You don’t even need to hear his voice to know how he sounds throughout his dialogue, that’s for sure. It’s quintessentially dripping in Astarion allure

And it seems to be working like a charm on fans. YoutuberKatiePetersPlayshas been having a ball with the new mod but has been going through the gigs trying to get “Stardew Astarion” to like them as, in true form, his responses haven’t always been very kind and hilariously brutal. As Katie tries to woe the vampire, most of his comebacks have either been “Oh, it’s you” or comically putting down her attire.
Another creator who has received the blunt end of Atarion’s stick, so to speak, isCasualBardicRoguewho tried to win him over with very little success where he came across as his usual “mean” self, but this is what a lot of fans actually love about Astarion the most, making it a great addition to the otherwise cozy sim.

Twitter, too, has shown their love for him, and thirst, in the best possible way, so it’s safe to say that introducing mod Astarion has been “spectacular, darling”.
Larian’s Pivot Away From Baldur’s Gate 3 Is The Right Move
Larian has too much talent to be making someone else’s game.
