Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s museum boasts many attractions, from a bug section to an art section. While bugs, fish, and fossils can be found by fishing, digging, and exploring your island and others, art is a bit trickier to obtain. MeetJolly Redd, a fox who will dock his boat on the hidden wharf at the north end of your island. To have Redd appear in his boat, you must first meet him when he appears on your island; Redd will be walking around and will sell you an art piece. This art piece will always be real, and purchasing it will have Redd visit your island every now and then in his boat. Clear a path to the north beach, and check often - Redd will dock his boatonce a month, but it’s not definite when he’ll arrive! Redd can also appear onHarv’s Islandwhen he’s not at your island, but he’ll sellless artworkto compensate.

When purchasing art from Redd, he’ll offerup to four piecesat a time; however, you canonly take one homewith you per visit. After buying an art piece, you’ll get it in the mail the next day. Sounds like a great deal, right? Here’s where it gets tricky; Redd willsometimes sell forgeries, which cannot be donated to the museum. The differences can often be subtle and hard to spot, but memorizing what makes a forgery can save you from waiting months to fill your museum.
