Among Ushas certainly been a hot topic with gamers over the past few months. Although it initially released in 2018,Among Ussaw a huge rise in player popularity after many well-known Twitch streamers and YouTubers started playing it and since then, most of us have been lining up to try and guess who the murdering imposter in the group could be or to try and hide the fact that we’ve been the imposter all along. The game even went as far as todethrone the highly successfulFall Guysoff the top stop on Steam so it was only a matter of time before someone came in and recreated theAmong Uskill animations with something a little more creative.
Landon, an artist, streamer, and sketch comedian who has a huge love for anime and video games, has recreated the kill animations onAmong Usand replaced them with anime finishers. Usually, when you get killed by the imposter, the kill animations are a mix between backstabbing, gun-shot to the head, or a neck twist but Landon’s very own anime kill finishers look fantastic, especially so if you’re a big anime fan. Some of Landon’s anime kill moves come from popular Japanese anime likeJo Jo’s bizarre adventure, Luffy’s stretchy arms inOne Piece,Kage Bunshin fromNarutousing the Shadow Clone Technique, and Deku fromMy Hero Academia.Could you name them all?
This new and interesting anime twist on how you kill other players inAmong Uswould surely be a refreshing change to some of the standard ways of taking someone out and I’m also pretty sure players would love it see this or at the very least, be able to customize their very own kill animations. I can just imagine the number of bodies everywhere as eager players try out their very own Shadow Clone Technique or Luffy’s stretchy arm kill spree on unsuspecting victims. You can check out Landon’s YouTube clip below and who knows, many this will give the developers some ideas.
While you’re here, you can see what else Landon has been up to over on hisYouTube,Twitter, orInstagram.
In some otherAmong Usnews, we heard last week that the game’s developer, Innserlsoth, announced that they’vecanceled plans for the sequeland will keep improving on the original game. In a post on their website, the developer said that they’re cancelingAmong Us 2and focusing on making the original game even better. “We have decided to cancelAmong Us 2and instead put all our focus into improvingAmong Us 1,” said the developer in a statement. “All of the content we had planned forAmong Us 2will instead go intoAmong Us 1. This is probably the more difficult choice because it means going deep into the core code of the game and reworking several parts of it. We have lots of things planned and we’re excited to bring new content to everyone as you continue to enjoy playing.”
