Alan Wake 2doesn’t pull any punches when making its enemies feel terrifying. It gives players an array of spooky and creepy enemies — many of which come cloaked in darkness. The game features a number of Survival Horror elements, such as limited resources, exploring dimly lit places, and making players stay on their toes for these enemies.

Luckily, players will be able to make use of a wide range of weapons to combat the evils of the games. Whether it’s aCrossbow,Hunting Rifle, or your trusty handgun, do not underestimate the effectiveness of a good weapon — so long as you have enough ammo to use it. One heavy hitter among these weapons is the Double-Barrel Shotgun that lies in wait for you within the Dark Place.

Where To Find The Double-Barrel Shotgun

First, you will need to be playing as Alan Wake, meaning you will need to make use of aJanitor’s Buckettoswitch characters. One of the locations available to Alan will be theOceanview Hotel. You will first need to progress the plot of the game to the start of the “Room 665” mission. Once this mission is displayed on your screen, head forward toward the"Mirror Peak Bar" signand go through the door under it. You will need to make your way to the rooftop of the building through a series of twists and turns. You’ll know you’re in the right place when yousee the deer skull mural on the wall (featured below).

Use the Angel Lamp at thevery bright light next to the mural. Turn so the mural is on your right side and head forward, taking aleft turn at the fence. Straight ahead, you will see acanopy with “Oceanview Hotel"on it. Instead of heading in right away to continue with your mission, head down some steps and turn right. Follow the carpet to theMirror Peak Bar.

Be sure to bebehind the bar, as being on the other side of the counter will have the shutters close on you and prevent you from entering it. Oncereality shifts, look opposite the bar counter to see the shotgun on the wall. Grab it, equip it, and be ready for a quick encounter once you leave the Mirror Peak Bar.
