8 years later and there’s still no sign ofGTA 6, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other amazing action-adventure games to play whilst we wait for Rockstar Games to announce the most anticipated title of the 21st century.
It could still be some time until we see a new instalment to the Grand Theft Auto series, with various rumours stating that it could be2025by the timeGTA 6arrives.

AlthoughGTA Vhas taken the series to new heights with the likes ofGTA Online, after 8 years fans are starting to get a little impatient. So, whilst we wait for that anticipatedGTA 6announcement, here are 5 games you’re able to play in the meantime.
1.CyberPunk 2077
There’s no doubt about it,Cyberpunk 2077received a fair bit of criticism when it first launched back in 2020. The criticism was fair and came from those on the previous generation of consoles due to the game being riddled with so many bugs. In fact, the PlayStation 4 version ofCyberPunk 2077was so bad that Sony began a no questions asked refund scheme for the game.
Now, I know this isn’t exactly selling the game to you. But PlayStation 4 issues aside, the game is genuinely amazing, especially on a high-end PC. The world is immersive, huge, and looks absolutely stunning. There’s an array of customization and is simply everything you’d want from a futuristic open-world game.

Plus, CD Projekt Red has been working to rectify any bugs in the game and a year after its release, the game is in a much healthier state.
2.Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
Sleeping Dogsis an older title, first released in 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC before receiving a ‘Definitive Edition’ for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2014.
Even though the title is now 9 years old, it still stands up incredibly well, especially if you play the Definitive Edition. Not only is the game set in an open-world version of Hong Kong, but it has great melee combat as well as fun gunplay.

3.Mafia: Definitive Edition
The Definitive Edition of the classicMafiagame is one of the best remakes in recent times and is a must-play regardless of whether you played the originalMafiagame back in 2002.
As many fans will likely already know,Mafiais a ‘gangster’ game set in 1930s America. Not only does the game have a gripping story, but there’s also great fight scenes, gunplay, and more. Visually speaking,Mafia: Definitive Editionis one of the best remakes you’ll find and is a must for fans of the gangster genre.

4.Saints Row: The Third Remastered
TheSaints Rowseries has always been somewhat of a parody of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but they do it so well. If you’re looking for a wacky, open-world, action-filled game thenSaints Row: The Third Remasteredis a no brainer.
AlthoughSaints Row: The Thirdstill holds up well to this day, there are only a few more months left until the reboot ‘Saints Row’releases, so if you’re okay to wait a little longer, a next-gen reboot of the series is sure to hold you off untilGTA 6arrives.
