However, another miss like the previous entry on the list wasSong One. Written and directed by Kate Barker-Froyland, the film also starred Johnny Flynn and Mary Steenburgen. While the performances were appreciated, critics claimed that the film fell short due to its cliche premise. The film only earned $408,000 worldwide against a $6 million budget.

3Havoc – $371,000
Anne Hathaway’s 2005 filmHavochad a lot of promise. The film was directed by acclaimed two-time Academy Award-winning documentarian Barbara Kopple and also starred Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Laura San Giacomo. The film explored the life of wealthy white teens in LA who try to imitate the hip-hop lifestyle and culture. Though the film had run at film festivals worldwide, it never received a US release. It was released internationally and only earned $371,000 at the box office. It was released on home video.

4Locked Down – $346,000
Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor starred in the heist comedyLocked Downin 2021. The film was directed by Doug Liman, known for directing some of the best action films of the 2000s and 2010s such asThe Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith,andEdge of Tomorrow. It was set during the COVID-19 pandemic and was also a romantic comedy. However, the film was not received well by critics or audiences and was criticized for its weak writing. It earned $346,000 for its limited release globally and was released on HBO Max, before being taken down from the streaming platform in 2022.
