If you wake up with a little bit of amnesia in the confines of the quarantine zone around the Windscale plant, you’ll likely have to deal with some unsightly types that want to kill you.
Atomfallthrives onthe amount of freedom players get, but there’s only so much you’re able to do whena feral bastard pops up spitting venomtowards you.

Atomfall: All Enemy Types (And How To Fight Them)
It pays off to know what you are up against and how to win those fights before they start.
To help you pick apart your tools to survive this journey, here is a list of the 10 best weapons in Atomfall.

These dangerous toys have been testedfrom beginning to end of the game, and are ranked by how well they saved me from an untimely death at the hands of Wyndham’s many horrors.
Deal Splitting Headaches
The axe is a perfect tool for chopping wood, or the head of an unruly foe that cannot take the hint. It only takes a quick look at the size of this blade to know that this thing leaves a pretty nasty bruise if it touches you.
Thanks to the huge wooden handle, the axe has a massive reach compared to other melee weapons in Atomfall. It also inflicts severe bleeding damage on those unfortunate enough to be hit by it.

Although this is the finest bladed weapon in Atomfall, it is not without shortcomings. The axe is rather cumbersome, with slow attacks and repositioning, making it a poor choice when too many enemies are close by. Still, it more than compensates with its brutal damage output.
9Molotov Cocktail
Thrown, Not Stirred
No list ofbest weapons in Atomfallwould be complete without the finest throwable item in the land. The Molotov cocktail is a timeless classic of irregular warfare, combining a bottom of flammable fluid of your choice and a cloth that serves as a fuze.
Atomfall’s version of the Molotov cocktail isa great all-rounder that works against swarms, pesky bands of hostile humans, and even B.A.R.D.’s nefarious robots.

Atomfall: 10 Things The Game Doesn’t Tell You
Atomfall is a mysterious game, but we can reveal some helpful things right here, right now!
TheMolotov cocktail recipeis easy to findearly on, and it takes relatively few materials to put together compared with other more elaborate devices out there.

While most throwables rely strictly on damage dealt directly, the Molotov cocktail also doubles as an area-denial weapon. This is priceless when you want to keep enemies at bay when outnumbered in tight spaces.
The Brain Masher
Look, I get it — you like the cricket bat, I like the cricket bat, everyone loves the thing. However, I’d be lying if I said it was the best melee weapon in Atomfall on anything other than vibes.
If you end up needing to bash someone’s head in after an altercation, there is no better tool than the mace. You can find this beauty in the Outlaw camp in Slatten Dale or by ‘negotiating’ it away from a druid in the Speaking Cave.
The mace has a decent range and deals devastating blows, with one of the shortest times to kill among any melee weapon in Atomfall. My favorite method with it is to kick the enemy to stagger them, then follow up with a heavy mace blow to the head. Nighty night, Mr. Soldier.
7Mk. VI Revolver
British Roulette
If you played too muchFallout: New Vegas, you probably have Big Iron in your head right now. If you’ve been on this planet for a little longer, revolvers evoke Dirty Harry. Whatever your first association, there are reasons to love the Mk. VI revolver in Atomfall.
The Webley is a staple of the British Army in the 20th century, and though it was rightfully phased out in favor of semi-automatic pistols, it holds up well in the quarantine zone.
This six-shooter isavailable just about anywhere, and it boastsexcellent damage while maintaining acceptable accuracy. The reason why this is not higher is because of the reload speeds.
You might as well put the kettle on while you wait for the reload animation to finish, which makes this a dodgy weapon to use against mobs.
Two World Wars, Baby
You didn’t think a shooter as good as Atomfall could exist without the good old Colt .45, did you? The M1911 is one of the most iconic (and arguably overrated) semi-automatic pistols in the world, and it does a great job reeducating outlaws in Cumberland.
The M1911 isthe perfect compromise between the Mk. VI revolver and the Hi-Power pistol. Its .45 rounds are closer to the Webley’s .455 in damage output, while retaining the accuracy, rate of fire, and fast reloads that come with the 9mm Hi-Power.
The main downsides of this pistol in Atomfall are its ammo capacity (only marginally above that of the Mk. VI) and its availability. Some protocol soldiers carry it instead of the Hi-Power, but don’t count on it.
5Peerless SMG
A Stormtrooper’s Best Friend
I have an axe to grind against Rebellion for giving the Sterling submachine gun such a goofy name, even if it is technically a synonym. If you can put these completely pointless grievances aside, this isthe most practical automatic weapon you can find in Atomfall.
This 9mm submachine gun entered pop culture stardom as the basis for the Imperial E-11 blaster in Star Wars, but the Sterling is a Cold War classic that deserves more love than that.
Atomfall: 10 Essential Beginner Tips
If you want to win in Wyndham, this is the way to go about it.
In Atomfall, the Peerless is less common than the goofy but iconic Sten, and it comes with higher recoil than its WW2 predecessor. That small increase is offset bybetter accuracy, a faster rate of fire, and a slightly higher magazine capacity.
If you don’t mind the damage dropoff, a Peerless in stock or pristine condition is a great alternative to rifles as your primary weapon, since SMG ammunition is much easier to procure.
Cumbrian Robin Hood
Mostgames that have stealthrely on fancy gimmicks like throwing knives or suppressed weapons. Atomfall is classier, forcing you into a more traditional solution that is the staple of the druid faction.
The advent of firearms has made bows and arrows obsolete, but these classics remain fantastic budget tools in a quarantine zone where bullets don’t grow on trees.
The bow in Atomfall has two major perks:it kills with a single shot to the head and makes next to no noise. There is no better weapon for taking down sentries without alerting the whole camp.
Arrows are found much more frequently than bullets, and the bow does not need to be repaired to dish out its maximum damage. Of course, once people start shooting back, you are reminded of why armies stopped using bows against guns.
3Broadside Auto 5
The Trench Raider
If you have to duke it out in close quarters, few weapons are as deadly as a good shotgun. The Broadside Auto 5 (née Browning Auto 5) is the best in its class in Atomfall, and thrives on its availability.
While all shotguns in Atomfall have great damage stats, the Auto 5 is the only one to marry this to a quick rate of fire and, most importantly, a high ammo capacity. This makes it a viable choice for busy situations where you don’t have the luxury of reloading after every shot.
On top of that, the Auto 5 is a popular piece among Protocol soldiers, so you may procure spares if you have the Gunsmith skill unlocked. Captain Simms will not like it if you go killing his boys to get gun parts, but he won’t notice if you do it quietly.
Bullpup Bonanza
Although the British Army is famous for its SA80 series of rifles, this was not the first time it had adopted a bullpup rifle.
The JM-3 (known in real life as the EM-2) isan eccentric 1951 creation that was well ahead of its time, and it is one of the most versatile weapons in Atomfall.
The British Army had originally selected this weapon to become its standard service rifle, but the effort was scrapped as part of standardization efforts between NATO members.
The JM-3 is theonly rifle in Atomfall to have an opticmounted onto it, and although this is a low-magnification one with a small field of view, this makes a massive difference when your enemies are using pistols, shotguns, and cricket bats.
What makes the JM-3 special is its rate of fire, which on a practical level is limited to how fast you can mash that trigger. The damage output is decent, and the ability to send quick follow-up shots downrange more than compensates for any shortcomings.Ammo is not easy to come byin Atomfall though, so don’t waste all of it.
1Falkirk Battle Rifle
The Soldier’s Choice
Falkirk, FAL, SLR, L1A1 — whatever you call it, this is the finest weapon you can find in Atomfall. This 1950s rifle became known as ‘the right arm of the free world’ due to its ubiquitousness. After firing it a couple of times in the game, it becomes easy to see why it’s so popular.
The Falkirk is modeled after the L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle, or SLR for friends and family. This is the Commonwealth version of the FN FAL but redesigned in imperial units.Atomfall categorizes the Falkirk as a sniper rifle, but while that’s a testament to its accuracy, it is an all-purpose, death-dealing machine.
The Falkirk has a 20-round magazine, and much like the SLR,it does not have the full auto mode present in its metric FAL counterparts. This rifle gives you a damage output that’s close to the Enfield, but with the ability to land follow-up shots and a quick reload. What else could you possibly need?
